for the year 2025 More than half of the adults in the European population are expected to be overweight or obese. In children and adolescents the data is even more worrying, since one in three children will be obese or overweight. The energy imbalance, Excessive consumption of processed foods and sugary drinks is being an important trigger, to which is added little physical activity and little rest.. In this framework LISA was born, project to prevent and combat childhood overweight in an innovative way developed by the OSI – Bilbao Basurto and with which the Pedagogical Classroom has actively collaborated since 2016. LISA is the acronym of the four schools that participated in the pilot project in 2015 (Luis Briñas, Iruarteta, Siete Campas and Artatse) and the promotional campaign began with the slogan “Less sweets and soft drinks.”, more water and exercise.” The Classroom representatives, headed by Miguel Madariaga, attended the official presentation of the campaign in Bilbao. Besides, The Classroom also organized a Presentation Talk of the LISA Project at the Txorierri. It was an event open to the public., especially aimed at parents and children, in which some simple nutrition and hydration tips were provided to lead a healthier life. The day was framed within the beginning of the Lisa project in Txorierri.

Miguel Madariaga, President of the Pedagogical Classroom; Esther Apraiz, Mayor of Derio; Raise Lopez, Mayor of Zamudio; Fco Javier Nuñez, doctor of the Pediatrics-Child Endocrinology Service of the OSI Bilbao Basurto, and Mikel Landa, President of the Euskadi Foundation and professional cyclist, sponsored the opening day.

The rectors of the Classroom have set up a specialized center and have hired personnel trained in the subject to put it into practice., dissemination and control in the classroom educational project. LISA is developed based on a calendar of high-impact workshops, both at Derio's own headquarters and in schools and municipal premises, in which the objective of promoting healthy habits is pursued and that these leave their mark on children and parents. The commitment is assumed to offer the simplest keys so that both children and parents improve their quality of life.. The goal is to build a better society together., where children who are the future of our society acquire healthy habits regarding hydration, feeding, rest, breathing, stretching, biological clock, and in this way, learn to listen and know your body.

Program FUTURE

ETORKIZUNA is a project framed in the LISA program aimed at combining road safety education and nutrition in order to provide the appropriate tools to promote healthy habits.. The challenge is to take another step in the field of physical activity through cycling, with road safety education as a high priority.

Given the social alarm generated by attacks on cyclists, learning the rules of the road, Influencing the correct use of the helmet or good maintenance of the bicycle are priorities in raising awareness of a society that relies on the bicycle as a means of transportation and leisure..
